Exterior hoods here sit low, near hedges and mulch beds. Some sit in tight walkways between twins. Wet lint glues the flapper shut. Starlings nest behind louvers on the shaded side. We open the hood, not guess from the driveway.

Not every call is worth making. Short straight runs through a rim joist, done recently, we say leave alone. Plaster ceilings and roof caps turn a quick visit into real work. So do multiple elbows.
